China is set to host the 2022 winter Olympics, even after the U.S. and several other western democracies called China’s treatment of its ethnic Uyghur minority a genocide. U.S. and U.K. lawmakers have called for a boycott of the Beijing Olympics, as have 180 human rights groups. So, how can China be allowed to host the Olympic games again?
