Vice President JD Vance takes the stage in Henderson County, North Carolina, for a midterm campaign rally, announcing additional funding for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts and highlighting the Trump administration’s priorities on border security, immigration and lowering prescription drug costs.
Vance touted the administration’s border enforcement record and criticized visa programs he said allowed corporations to replace American workers with foreign labor. He also urged voters to support Republican Senate nominee Michael Whatley ahead of the midterm elections. The speech was briefly interrupted by a protester who was escorted out as the crowd responded with chants.
