President Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) faced the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday during a confirmation hearing that exposed several of his questionable positions on guns. First, David Chipman admitted he DOES support a ban on AR-15s (as it has been presented in a Senate bill, he says). Then, Chipman became incredibly flustered when asked to define an ‘assault weapon,.’ The answer he finally gave was shocking.
