President Donald Trump spoke with members of the press after landing in Gastonia, North Carolina, on Wednesday.
Trump was asked about the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates.
The president is in North Carolina to campaign for Senate hopeful Michael Whatley.
The Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate by a quarter-point, bringing the target range to 3.75% to 4.00%. The rate increase is expected to make borrowing more expensive for homes, vehicles, credit cards and other major purchases.
